Overview

ISE contains the full content of Volumes I and II of the Legacy of Sorrow series (Sorrow and Affliction), embracing the worldbuilding contained within the first two volumes and the tremendous effort made to overthrow the initial threats facing Kara, her Counsel, and the city of Aerael. Kara's humanity and Sonya's recovery take precedence as matters of importance, forging the beginnings of a new future. RISE can be read in a cyclical manner, with the ending of Affliction coinciding perfectly with the beginning of Sorrow as the story loops back to its beginning.
